6 Injured In Twin Jammu Blasts Amid High Alert For Rahul Gandhi's Yatra
Six people were injured in twin car blasts near the Jammu railway station this morning, police said, raising concerns over the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in view of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra. The blast occurred in the Narwal area of Jammu, said Additional Director General of Police (Jammu) Mukesh Singh.
Improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were fitted on cars for the blast, said officials.
The injured have been rushed to hospital. One of them is said to be critical.
The area has been cordoned off and security has been enhanced following the blasts. Vehicles are being stopped and checked.
