Ashok Gehlot's "Cops Should Ask Amit Shah" Retort To "Frame Modi" Comment

Rajasthan Chief Minister and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot has dared Home Minister Amit Shah to name the officers of a central agency who the BJP leader alleged had put pressure on him to frame his party colleague and the then Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi in a fake encounter case. Mr Gehlot said if the Delhi Police can ask Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to give details of women in Jammu and Kashmir who have alleged sexual harassment, the same cops can surely ask Mr Shah to give the names of the officers who wanted him to frame Narendra Modi before he became Prime Minister in 2014. During the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Mr Gandhi had alleged  "women were still being sexually assaulted" in the Union Territory. After the yatra ended and 45 days later, a Delhi Police team knocked on Mr Gandhi's doors thrice in five days, which the Congress termed unprecedented harassment. The Congress alleged the cops won't do any such thing if BJP leaders gave controversial comments at pub...

"See The Language...": BJP Chief Slams Congress For Comments On PM Modi

Slamming the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi over its allegedly insulting attitude towards Other Backward Classes and for allegedly using undignified words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president J P Nadda on Friday said the OBC community would never forgive the party and would teach them a lesson. Speaking after inaugurating BJP's district unit offices in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh virtually, he alleged that Congress had become desperate after losses in successive elections. The party is faced with "mental bankruptcy", he claimed. The ruling party chief accused the Congress of forgetting the dignity of words while attacking PM Modi. "Today, they forgot the dignity of words also. They are not even bothered about the words to be used. They are saying 'Modi teri kabar khudegi' (Modi, your grave will be dug). See the language of a party which had a national character," he said. "They say 'Modi teri kabar khudegi' at a time when...

Rahul Gandhi's disqualification from Lok Sabha has increased his popularity and stature, making him a symbol of freedom for the country's people, and the party would do whatever it takes to protect and defend that symbol, senior Congress leader Salman Khurshid said here on Wednesday. Mr Khurshid, a noted lawyer, said the party will move the higher courts over Mr Gandhi's conviction in a 2019 criminal defamation case by a Surat court and is hopeful of getting relief as the maximum sentence given in such a case "is unheard of". "Never has the maximum sentence been given in a criminal defamation case. The maximum two-year sentence for criminal defamation is unheard of. We can hardly find cases where it was given, especially to an elected representative," he said, addressing a press conference at the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee office. He said there is proportionality in the law and the maximum punishment is not given. "We will also...
